looking for a little info on a part and what people think about apexi

Hello im looking for a 3" exhuast for my wifes car that we will be running 23 psi on at fp 18g and every shop in my town said that i need to find a pre built system becuase they dont want to bend it for this car.... soo i found a apexi ws 2 for the gsx and it has 3" pipes and was wondering if this was a good system and can handle 23 psi with out holding us back? We have a dump tube for the wastegate.... Im taking off the cat and just doing a test pipe.... If i take the cat off the car is the ecu going to freak out? Is there a good way to make sure it dosen't other than hangin it on the pipe?

thanks for any info you guys can help with.

The exhaust system should handle it. I ran a very similar setup, except I had the N1 system, instead of the ws 2. I also had an external dump. The ECU will not freak if you put in a test pipe/down pipe where the cat is. However, it will throw a CEL light. It's nothing to be worried about, it's just the ECU doing it's job. If you have a program like pocketlogger, you can clear the CEL light (I believe). Or, you can go to a local automotive shop, like autozone, and they will clear it for you. It will come back more than once, but like I said, it's not entirely bad.

I suggest getting pocketlogger, or some form of engine diagnostic, because if something is wrong with the car, and the CEL light comes on, but it is already on from the test pipe, you won't know what the problem is.

Do you have the necessary fuel components to run 23 psi on the 18g? Also, do you have any upgraded head components (i.e. better headgasket, studs, etc?)

Yeah we have a evo head gasket and arp head bolts with 1g block swap'd in with 2g pistons with 1g rods... head has 260 cams in it and port work done to it.... once we get all the final parts together were puting dsmlink and tuning it to 23 pounds until than it will only be 14 psi till dsmlink gets in the car. but are 2 biggest problems right now is exhuast and oil leaks brand new motor on the oil housing is leaking not sure why but i fix it and it dose it again... And its not like im some hack or some shit i work at a auto shop with all master techs and we each have are own lifts and shit soo its killing me that its doing it again.... im adding a oil cooler becuae its burning the oil all ready also... for me since this is my wifes car i get all the old parts witch are new witch is evo 16g and get ot put it on my integra.... will take care thanks for reading my long ass story.. oh yeah were ordering 680 injecters and we have a walbro 255 in the tank all ready....
